Storyboards
My approach to storyboarding is to bring communication to the fore. Using the most efficient means possible to convey the story and vision of the director to the crew and ultimately the audience.
Where possible I do enjoy using traditional layouts as this allows me to push storyboarding as an artform in itself. Using the panels themselves to bring communicate action via a static image.
The Deliverers
The Deliverers is an orginal script by Philip Richardson. A comedy about two lovers from opposing Italian families. This sequence depicts a flashback to when the protagonist Mario, bursts in and declares his love during the wedding reception.
The Chase
A love of car chases in film from a young age, in particular films such as the 'Blues Brothers' led me to arrange this action sequence set in a brutalist future. Started as part of my final project for university I carried this forward going on to a previs animation using Maya.

Storyboard/Animatic Comparison
Toon Shader Mech Test
Storyboard for a Mech power-up and test fire. I hadn't had an opportunity to mess around with Arnolds Toon shader yet so I thought I'd design a project that allowed me to. I didn't anticipate how different lighting would be with this shader. But now I know how it all works I''m looking forward to the next time I'm able to use this.
Nuclear Blast Simulation
A simple animatic created to be stylised like a computer model of a nuclear blast in a city. I hadn't had an excuse to mess around properly with After Effects in a while, so I made one for myself.
B.O.B.
Based on an original concept, B.O.B. is about a small boy living alone in an abandoned city who finds a discarded house robot.
